“I had it easy as an author when I had a full-time job. If only I’d taken advantage of it!”
When someone shares that, it really gets me.
Yeah, it’s a weird phenomenon — but many authors find themselves writing LESS after going full time than they did when they were still squeezing writing in between life and the day job.
My friend, full-time thriller author Kevin Tumlinson and I have both been there, and know dozens of full and part-time authors who’ve experienced and overcame these challenges.
We’ll explore this on Thursday, July 2nd at 2pm Central / Noon Pacific.
My friend Kevin Tumlinson and I have scheduled our next Indie Author Blueprint workshop, and it’s coming up on Thursday the 2nd.
Kevin and I were both working with authors recently who were struggling to ‘find the time’ to write in between the day job, family, and life.
They dream of going full-time, but haven’t been able to get there. Yet.
We also know many authors (ourselves included) who worked hard to go full-time, only to find themselves actually writing less once they left the day job. Yikes.
Why does becoming a full-time author often mean writing less?
Yeah, it’s a weird phenomenon — but many authors find themselves writing LESS after going full time than they did when they were still squeezing writing in between life and the day job.
We all know the financial stability there, but most don’t recognize the mental and emotional stability of writing while working.
We’ve been there, too
Kevin and I have both been there, and know dozen of full and part-time authors who’ve experienced and overcame these challenges.
We’ll explore all of this on Thursday, July 2nd at 2pm Central / Noon Pacific.
We’ll have tried and true tips on how to keep yourself on track, whether you’re writing part-time and want to write more or whether you’re full-time already and ready to take back your time, and make the most of it.
There are two ways to join us.
Whether you choose Facebook Live or YouTube Live, you can ask questions, comment, and fully participate.
